All InterGrain Clearfield® wheat and barley varieties can now be legally traded between growers, following negotiations with BASF.
InterGrain CEO Tress Walmsley said that this was a great change for the industry, making it easier for growers to access varieties.

InterGrain will continue to work closely with Seedclub members to ensure the highest quality seed is produced. Growers and resellers will still be able to purchase high quality seed of our newly released varieties through InterGrain Seedclub Members.
Growers are encouraged to ensure that all seed exchanged via farmer to farmer trade is clean and maintains varietal purity. It is a legal requirement growers register farmer to farmer seed trades, which can be done by filling out Seed Sale Declaration.
The freeing up of farmer to farmer trade for Clearfield® wheat and barley varieties does not extend to imidazolinone tolerant oats. Archer and Kingbale cannot be traded through farmer to farmer trade.
Farmer to farmer traded varieties are subject to the terms and conditions of the Industry Standard Seed Licence and Royalty Agreement.
